Which would you druther...

Be forced to work late and stand-up your Valentine's Day date or get off work early only to be stood-up yourself?

Since she's already used to me letting her down on V-day, I'druther keep up the tradition and work late. Oh man, I really need to get my act together or she's gonna leave me.

Having been greatly disappointed on dump-your-significant-jerk day and knowing that heartache that can follow...I still choose to be stood-up. I would rather find other ways to occupy my time and mend my broken heart than eternally try to make-up for standing someone up on Valentine's Day. There is no good (or cheap) way to undo such a wrong.

Yeah, I'd rather be stood up.

1. You don't have to work late.

2. Once it's clear that you're dumped, you can go watch a movie or make out with another lonely cuckold.

3. You get the upper hand in arguments for at least a year. Maybe even a new car stereo

I am all about the getting stood up. At least you would be able to hold it over the other person's head...and you wouldn't be at work. Plus I think that would justify blowing some cash on something irresponsible, yet fun...like a big screen TV.

Whatever Jer, all general wrong-doings to women have a shelf life of 3 years. If it happens on a holiday then it's extended to 5 years. Fact of life. Deal with it.
Besides, occasionally when there is a really great song I'm listening to and I get to crank up the music I take a moment to remember how totally sweet holding a grudge can be.
